SUMMARY
Todd Holcomb is a father of two, an innovative brand and business strategist, digital pioneer, experience and environments designer, and community organizer and volunteer.
With an intense interest in the intersection of technology, design and business, Todd helped found & run multiple brand- and design-related businesses. When the internet changed the business world, Todd joined the interactive agency Studio Archetype, opening its Atlanta-based office, and later joined the management team as VP, overseeing operations across all Studio disciplines. Within two years of joining, head count grew to more than a hundred & revenues to more than $20 million.
With the new economy came a demand for new business models. Todd helped combine Studio Archetype with global consulting firm Sapient in 1998, proving that strategic design can be a game-changing business tool.
Seeing an opportunity to further explore how design enables business, Todd joined SYPartners first as general manager, than as a principal in charge of the strategy practice, to grow the firm from a small agency into a multi-office global competitor using design-thinking, in and across business strategy, leadership development, organizational change, innovation, and customer experience.
In 2006, Todd left SYPartners when his second child was born with a life-threatening heart defect to focus on his family, and build his own consulting business Atelier Holcomb, specializing in strategic brand/business planning, experiences (of all kinds) and environments. This new business brings design-forward thinking to small & large entrepreneurs.
Todd’s early career includes time as an attorney working with Judge Patel (now retired) in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California & as a civil rights attorney with the Employment Law Center. Prior to law school, Todd worked with IBM to create, market & deploy US-developed technologies to other countries.
